From Airport to Pham Ngu Lao, we just take public bus to Pham Ngu Lao (Saigon).
Taking Bus 152 and the bus run every 15 minutes, so it's quite convenient and cut a lot of cost.

Bus Fare: 2 pax + 2 lugage = 5,000Dong x 4 = 20,000 Dong (S$1.30)
*Force to sit separately to take care our lugage*
Mr Bun look so cute~ my beloved man ever!

We stop at a place look like Bus Terminal,  is nearby the Ben Tanh Market, about 40 minutes ride...
We walk all over and ask around to reach Pham Ngu Lao District 1, is about 15 minutes walk.
The time still early...I think about 10am....we drop our lugage at hotel and return to check in at 12pm.
Just walk around the street to get familiar 1st....

After we checked in, then we start our itinerary~

We met this guy when we finding way to Reunification Palace, the day is really really hot...
I see him quite pity so bought 1 coconut from him....
But end up don't know is it he pretend his english not good, pass us 2 coconut...
Ok, well....it's really hot...
When we pay, it's seem different from what he told us and we are still confusion over the currency.
After he taken our money I just realised that....

The Coconut cost us S$9 for 1!!!
But this guy already gone and I can't see him (of coz run faster before I'm wake...lolz)

Ok...it's seem Mr Bun smile so happily...so I just treat the money are pay for this valuable photo~ lolz

REUNIFICATION PALACE (统一宫)

Entrance Ticket: 30,000Dong (S$1.90)

The Reunification Palace is a five-storey building with the basement housing a warren of tunnels, a war room and telecommunications centre.
Okay...it's all about historical and war place...
I'm not interest in history but it's such an important tourist spot in Ho Chi Minh City.
So here we are.

There actually have free tour bring you over the building and explain.
But we wait so long also didn't see 1, so forget it...we just walked ourself then.

There's really a lot of "room" inside the building.... every room have it own function and meaning.

The true elephant leg! This impressed me!
The skin is really thick ^^

P/S: I'm not a person who love historical place, to me it's just normal and no much point of interest...
and it's really hot weather make me keep sweating!

After this, we proceed to our next Notre Dame Cathedral which is only nearby, about 5-10 minutes walk.

NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL (圣母大教堂)
The church is established by the French Colonist and is a Catholic Church.
It build in 1877 and all the material are from France.

 Inner Deco~

I love their window...

Happened to see couple taking wedding photo.
The bride is pretty and gorgeous look, like a star....
I'm feel Vietnamese lady are so slim and tall.

Our next are Saigon Central Post Office, right beside the Notre Dame Cathedral.
Just cross 1 street.

SAIGON CENTRAL POST OFFICE (西贡中央邮局)
The oldest post office in Vietnam, famed for its beautiful neoclassical architectural style.
A tourist spot that not to be miss...

We don't have the habit of posting postcard....so we just look around.
It's still function as normal post office.

A lot of souvenir you can found here.... it quite 精致 but due to only 1st day,
my shopping moood yet to be on...lolz

Well...the rest are our Free and Easy now...I didn't work so much on iti due to heavy workflow.
Just simply walk around to see see shop shop eat eat...

We settle our simple dinner at Lotteria, also a fast food restaurant I ate at Korea before..
Wondering Korea market have enter to Vietnam market but yet Singapore/Malaysia.

This fast food restaurant is located at food court of a shopping mall.
I think is inside Parkson.

After return Hotel have a quick rest, we're out for walk around Pham Ngu Lao District 1 to enjoy the happening of Backpacker area.
It's only near to 8pm only...early night.

We wish to try the local stall seafood but we also worry chop chop by local as what happen this morning.
We walk along the street till almost end of the street and found this stall, more locals are here so we trust it's not aimed at tourist.

Small chair small table~

I have forgot how much we ate but it's fresh and cheap!

Above are for our Day 1 in Ho Chi Minh~
Look forward my Day 2 heading to Mui Ne!!!
